Landmark 83, Point of Ayr Lighthouse, Talacre, Flintshire
Built in 1776. Inactive since 1883. 18 m (58 ft) brick tower with lantern and gallery, painted white; lantern painted black, lantern dome red. Though long abandoned, this lighthouse has been maintained in fairly good condition. The lighthouse is surrounded by water at high tide, but it can be reached easily across a broad, flat beach when the tide is low.
