No 8 is somewhat older, a third century stone Celtic cross, erected at the site where St Pirran brought Christianity to the ancient British people. Standing in the middle of Perran Sands it needs a little walking to find, but being on the long-distance coastal footpath it did not need the GPS I used to find it.
